Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Wanderer jacket water resistant?
The Wanderer jacket is made of 100% cotton denim. Unfortunately, there are no water-resistant properties to the fabric we use. However, it's not a bad idea for a future run.
Is the Wanderer jacket warm?
The jacket is made of a lightweight denim, and it is unlined. It is a light jacket. While it insulates the arms quite nicely, it is also an open-front jacket. So if you're concerned about staying warm, consider buying a size larger than normal and wearing a warm sweater or thermal layer underneath.
Will the Wanderer be available in other colors?
Probably. My original intent was to offer this jacket in olive (army green). Due to the variety of materials used (denim, gauze, rib knit, waist cord & thread), dyeing is required to make the finished jacket a uniform color. (It is much easier to make a black or a white jacket than it is to make a jacket that is all in the same shade of green.) The dyeing process would require that I manufacture and dye in bulk to keep the costs manageable. I will move forward with this when I am ready. There are a lot of factors to consider.
